MANHATTAN — At one point during the 2025-26 Kansas State basketball season, the games felt like a pregame show for whatever the postgame press conference was going to be. Whether that was now-fired coach Jerome Tang speaking or Matthew Driscoll after he became interim, the postgame press conferences were arguably as bad as what had just transpired on the court. One press conference ultimately led Kansas State to push Tang out the door, saying it was so "embarrassing" that it had to fire him for cause.
