West Canada, Notre Dame girls win sectional basketball championships

SYRACUSE -- Utica's Notre Dame Jugglers and the Red Knights of LaFargeville each won third consecutive girls basketball titles on Section III's championship Saturday at SRC Arena, and West Canada Valley, Marcellus and Baldwinsville also won crowns on a busy day with five games played at SRC Arena. Notre Dame, the 2024 sectional and state champion in Class B, successfully defended the Class A sectional title they won last year with a 51-29 win over Christian Brothers Academy of Syracuse.
