Prep Results 2/28: Big day for Jones leads ‘Boro in D-I district final
McKenzie Jones finished with 23 points, passing the 1,000 career points mark in the process, in leading Springboro girls basketball in a 61-54 win against Sycamore in a Division I district final on Saturday. The Tulsa commit also turned in a double-double performance by hauling in 11 rebounds. Baylee Cumbow added 13 points, Leah Wilhite 11 and Ady Martin 10 for ‘Boro. The Panthers improved to 19-5 overall and move into a regional semifinal match-up with Lakota West on Wednesday at Mason. Lakota West beat West Clermont 53-40 to advance on Saturday.
