The last of the 20-point qualifying races for a spot on the Derby Leaderboard was run Saturday night at Turfway Park. The $175k John Battaglia Memorial was won by 15-1 outsider Great White. The John Ennis trained son of sprinter Volatile stalked the leader and post-time favorite, Street Beast in third. On the turn, Great White and jockey Alex Achard made a swooping move to get the lead while Street Beast faded badly. Great White withstood a furious stretch run by second choice Fulleffort to secure the 20 points, which placed him 13th on the current Leaderboard. The final time for the mile and one-sixteenth was a very slow 1:46.83, which earned an 83 Beyer speed figure....
