Richmond, Dakota earn competitive cheer district titles

Richmond captured another Division 3 district crown Saturday and the Blue Devils had to slip past longtime nemesis Pontiac Notre Dame Prep in the process. Top-ranked Richmond compiled a three-round score of 788.20 to edge runner-up and second-ranked Notre Dame Prep, who totaled 785.04 points. Third-ranked Armada finished third at 772.34 and unranked Algonac placed fourth (696.70) to grab the fourth and final regional qualifying spot.
