Clark-Willow Lake edges Watertown to win Region 1 girls wrestling title

De SMET — Clark-Willow Lake edged defending champion Watertown 163.5-162.5 for the team title in the Region 1 girls wrestling tournament on Thursday, Feb. 19, 2026. Twenty-six schools competed in the tourney with the top four wrestlers in each of 14 weight classes qualifying for state Feb. 26-28 at Sioux Falls. Additional fifth-place wrestlers could also advance if additional spots open due to injury or other factors. Two fifth-place finishers made the difference for Clark-Willow Lake in the region.
