Muskegon-area hockey: Mona Shores, Reeths-Puffer set up regional rematch
The Mona Shores and Reeths-Puffer hockey programs will renew their rivalry next week with a regional championship on the line. The Sailors and Rockets split their regular-season series, with each team claiming a 3-1 win, and will meet again in the Division 2 regional championship game on Wednesday, Feb. 25, at 7 p.m. at the Trinity Health Arena in downtown Muskegon. Mona Shores defeated West Ottawa 2-1 on Wednesday to cement their spot in the regional finals, while Reeths-Puffer pulled away from Grand Haven for a 3-1 win in its regional semifinal matchup.
