Clear Fork's Boccio takes top honors in Division V All-District 6 awards

WILLARD — Clear Fork's Ava Boccio is the best of the best. Boccio earned Division V District 6 Player of the Year honors as handed out by members of the Ohio High School Basketball Coaches Association after she led the Colts in scoring with 17.1 points per game. The junior helped the Colts to their first league championship since 2004 when they went undefeated in the Mid-Ohio Athletic Conference this season. Boccio was joined by teammate Brinley Barnett (9.7 PPG) as first team selections while fellow Colt Eliana Pelkey (9 PPG) was second team.
