GRAND RAPIDS, MI – Gone are the days of random drawings for Michigan’s boys high school basketball playoffs, as the Michigan High School Athletic Association has opted to award the state’s best teams with a favorable path to the district finals. The MHSAA released its district tournament pairings and schedule Sunday, and for the sixth consecutive year, the top two teams in each district will receive a first-round bye and start their postseason runs no earlier than the district semifinals.
