Banners and signs are plastered all over the vast Pacific Northwest Sportsmen’s Show at the Portland Expo Center this weekend, but none mention a controversial topic: a petition to criminalize any activity that injures or kills animals in Oregon, including all hunting. If a little more than 117,000 signatures are collected by July 2, Initiative Petition 28 would be placed on the November ballot.
