Henry Lawrence laughed out loud. “I love it,” he said over the phone while on his way to a rehearsal. He’s heard the story before, but it’s still funny. A few years ago when Sean Murphy owned the Doctor’s Office, the savvy Anna Maria Island restaurateur did not usually have entertainment at the well-appointed bar in Holmes Beach. But he made an exception for Lawrence, a community icon, social activist and an all-around good guy with soulful pipes. And, oh, yeah, he was a dominating offensive tackle on those great, rollicking Oakland Raiders teams of yore.
