Logos’ Spillman breaks Knights’ single-game scoring record

AREA ROUNDUP MOSCOW — Elena Spillman broke the Knights’ single-game scoring record with a 37-point explosion as Logos of Moscow routed the Clearwater Valley Rams of Kooskia 50-22 on Monday in a 2A Whitepine League high school girls basketball contest. It was senior night at Logos (6-14, 2-12), and the Knights honored their lone senior, Spillman, before the game with a “typical tribute and prayer,” Logos coach Joe Casebolt said. Spillman had a double-double as well with 13 rebounds and also nabbed seven steals in the game. Casebolt said that Spillman has put in four years of hard work both in season and during the offseason. “She leads by hard work and leads by example for us,” Casebolt said....
