The Nashville Predators are one Metro Council vote away from taking over hockey facilities at the Centennial Sportsplex. The lease proposal, which is expected to be up for a vote on Jan. 20, would give the Predators operational control of the Sportsplex through 2049. In exchange, the team is promising up to $30 million in capital investment in the hockey facilities. The Predators also said they will invest in new locker room and training facilities for the team, which would include establishing a home locker room for Tennessee State's men's hockey team. The Tigers are slated to begin play in 2026-27. The lease proposal agreement was passed on its second reading by Metro Council on Dec. 16....
