BLOOMINGTON — When Daniel Ndukwe arrived at Arabia Mountain High School, a magnet school in Lithonia, near Atlanta, he started as a sophomore on junior varsity. Not because of his age — Arabia Mountain coach Julian Washington actually leaned on a lot of youth back then — and not because of his talent. But as a transfer, he was required to wait a year before appearing in a varsity game.
