Booker Guyton is making a short move across Stockton, trading one coaching sideline for another less than five miles down the road. Booker announced Dec. 17 that he stepped down as Edison’s football coach after more than 20 years with the Vikings and will take over at Franklin High School, a familiar Stockton foe. Edison and Franklin once shared the San Joaquin Athletic Association before Edison moved to the Tri-City Athletic League in 2024 after joining in 2014.
