BEDFORD — Larry Lafferty has been waiting nearly 60 years for Indiana football to repeat the magic. He was there in 1968, the last time the team went to the Rose Bowl. He was on the field in Pasadena with a whistle around his neck. He felt the magic. He felt the recognition. There were so many photos taken of Lafferty in his feathered hat as the flashy drum major leading IU's Marching Hundred during that historic season.
