CANTON — Saturday's Shot Clock Shootout at Memorial Field House offered high school basketball teams the experience of dealing with a 35-second shot clock ticking away every possession. And, boy, did the effects vary. For the Hoover boys basketball team, the shot clock prevented its opponent, Olentangy, from holding the ball with a lead in the final minutes and forcing the Vikings to foul. For Massillon and Elyria? "To be honest, I forgot we even had the shot clock," Tigers junior guard Xavier Williams said.
