Moustafa reappointed IHF president
The 40th congress, held from 19-21 December in Cairo, Egypt, concluded with a series of elections shaping the leadership of the International Handball Federation for the next four years. A total of 176 delegates participated, voting on various positions. In the presidential race, Dr Hassan Moustafa of Egypt was decisively re-elected with 129 votes, representing 73.3% of the total, ahead of Franc Bobinac of Slovenia with 24 votes, Gerd Butzeck of Germany with 20, and Tjark de Lange of the Netherlands with three, extending his tenure as IHF chief.
