Kalamazoo girls hoops: Fearless freshman’s big night sends Lawton to opening win

In her first-ever high-level high school action, Logyn Hill was far from afraid of the varsity spotlight. In fact, she stole the show. The freshman phenom proved that by cooking for a game-high 26 points, powering Lawton to a big-time 50-45 opening night victory over South Haven on Tuesday. Hill collected eight rebounds and four steals to go along with her 26 points, while McKenzee Terpstra added 10 points with four rebounds and four steals. Bailey Allison and Gia Bridges chipped in with seven points apiece.
