Class 9-Player MINNEAPOLIS — The Hills-Beaver Creek Patriots are state champions for the first time in 35 years. They went wire to wire on the season with a 13-0 record and a No. 1 ranking in the state all year. They capped off their historic season with a 46-22 win over Hillcrest Lutheran Academy Saturday in the 9-Player Prep Bowl at U.S. Bank Stadium. The Pats of head coach Rex Metzger dominated the game from start to finish as they outscored the Comets 24-0 in the first quarter to set the tone early.
