Newman volleyball earns third straight state tournament bid: 'We set a certain standard'
WAUSAU – Since Newman Catholic capped off four consecutive state titles in 2016, the program has yet to bring the gold ball back home. But after downing Highland to snap Six Rivers champions 15-game win streak in the WIAA Division 5 semifinal, the Fighting Cardinals have another shot to earn a fifth state championship, while making their third consecutive state tournament appearance.
