Ferrari drivers reveal new race overalls for 2025
Ferrari says it has entered the ’1644’ era, referring to the race numbers of Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton whose 2025 race suits were unveiled in photos posted on social media.
The Italian outfit had teased the presentation of its drivers’ new team kit on Sunday, four days after Hamilton’s baptism of fire with the Scuderia at Fiorano.
On Monday, the team posted a short video and an array of images online, showcasing its drivers’ refreshed look.
A Sleek New Look
Last year’s yellow and white trim across the chest and down the sleeves of the red suits – a nod to sponsor Shell – has been replaced by just a fine white pipping, with a partial white band on the waist that features each driver’s national flag, race number and name.
Both drivers were shown with their current helmet liveries, but these are bound to change over the course of the season according to events and circumstances.
This week, Ferrari will unleash their chargers at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya for some TPC (Testing of Previous Car) action.
But that's not all – next week, Hamilton will participate in a third test, also at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, in partnership with Pirelli, and with the Briton running with the Scuderia’s race winning 2024 machine.
A Season of High Expectations
Whispers are circulating that Ferrari might have pulled off a coup, making a bigger leap forward than their rivals during the off-season.
As the team gears up for the season opener in March at the adrenaline-filled Australian Grand Prix, fans are already speculating: could this finally be the year Ferrari conquers the summit once again?
It’s been far too long since Ferrari last claimed the ultimate prize. Their last Constructors’ World Championship triumph came in 2008, while Kimi Raikkonen was the last driver to deliver the Drivers’ title to the House of Maranello in 2007.
Since then, the prancing horse has galloped close to glory, delivering tantalizing near-misses but falling short of the world crown.
Now, all eyes are on Hamilton. The stakes? Sky-high. The challenge? Monumental. While the Briton is no stranger to victory, winning a World Championship with Ferrari is a whole new level of legendary.
As pundits love to remind us, driving for Ferrari isn’t just about speed – it’s about becoming part of motorsport’s most storied legacy. And if Hamilton can deliver, it’ll be a chapter for the ages.
