Aston Martin’s new motion sim sets new standards in F1 gaming

0 6

Aston Martin has just unveiled a groundbreaking Formula 1 simulator designed for die-hard fans with a serious passion for racing - and a similarly serious budget.

This new motion simulator, developed in partnership with Memento Exclusives, commemorates Fernando Alonso’s 400-race milestone, and it promises to deliver an F1 experience so authentic that it could rival stepping into the cockpit of the two-time world champion’s AMR24.

With its sleek design in Aston Martin’s iconic racing green, this simulator is crafted for fans who crave every detail, down to the sensations of cornering and rumbling over the track.

The impressive sim rig, which was fine-tuned in collaboration with Team Silverstone’s engineers, isn’t just a visual replica; it’s equipped with high-tech systems engineered to recreate the physical sensations of an F1 car.

Featuring advanced haptic actuators, a front-pivot configuration, and motion feedback, each simulator is built to react to the driver’s movements in real-time, simulating the G-forces and bumps of real race circuits.

It’s a genuine step forward in bringing Formula 1 to the fan – right from the living room.

Matt Chapman, Aston Martin’s Head of Licensing and Merchandise, explained the motivation behind the new venture.

“This is a really exciting collaboration with our partner Memento Exclusives, bringing the world of Formula One to life for sim racers, collectors, and our fans alike,” he said.

“The look and feel of the motion simulator makes it an immersive experience, and the addition of movement builds upon the previous simulators we have collaborated on together.”

As is often the case with exclusive technology, the realism comes at a steep price. The entry-level model starts at a cool €86,000, and for those who want the aesthetics complete with a sleek front wing, the cost goes up to €111,000.

And if you want the full motion rigging set-up to mimic the twists and jolts of the track? That’ll be a jaw-dropping €123,000, thank you very much!

For those willing to spend the price of a small house – or a high-end luxury sports car – the Aston Martin F1 simulator is the ultimate gift for an F1 fan. But for the rest of us, we may just have to make do with cheering from the sofa.
