[Volleyball] Tigers end skid with straight set win

Georgetown College volleyball has been struggling to find a rhythm since the season-ending injury to junior hitter Jessica Tapp. The Tigers (13-7, 6-2) ended a six game skid with a straight set win over Shawnee State University Tuesday night at Davis-Reid Alumni Gym.

"I'm very pleased with the team's performance against the Bears," said GC coach Felicia Pace. "It began with the tough serving from the team and is a much needed win as we come off of a losing streak."

GC has one more conference match Thursday before heading to Missouri to test themselves in the Columbia Fall Classic. Three of the Tigers' four opponents are ranked in the Top 5.
