PARKVILLE, Mo. - Teams want to be playing their best in the postseason and it's hard to argue with how the ninth-ranked Park University Pirates are playing right now.

Second-seeded Park used a steady effort throughout its match Friday night at the Breckon Sports Center to knock off No. 12-ranked and third-seeded Missouri Baptist, 3-0 (25-21, 25-22, 25-17), in the semifinals of the American Midwest Conference volleyball tournament, sending the Pirates - who have won six straight and 17 of their last 18 matches - through to their fifth championship match in the last six seasons.
