[Volleyball] Ungerer Recieves Defender of the Week Honors

Senior outside hitter, Rhiannon Ungerer received Defender of the Week honors for the week of August 21st-27th. This is Rhiannon's first award this season. Ungerer had a big week helping the Lady Bearcats to a 3-1 record and recording 64 total digs. She averaged 3.76 digs per set with a high of 29 in a win over Rochester (Mich.), which also included 14 kills.

Ungerer now has over 1,200 digs in her career at Brescia. She also ranks 13th in the NAIA in total digs and 38th in attacks for the season.

Ungerer had two double-doubles on the week with the other being 10 kills and 14 digs versus Culver Stockton, a 3-2 win. 

Brescia (5-3) has its next matches Sept. 8-9 at the Kentucky Wesleyan Tournament.
