Jannik Sinner Opens Up About Juggling Tennis and a Girlfriend
People are quite curious about the personal life of tennis star Jannik Sinner and his girlfriend details. After all, Sinner is pretty much the most eligible bachelor in the sport right now, and that leave millions of curious people wondering about his relationship status.
Sinner had a fairly high-profile relationship with Anna Kalinskaya, which recently ended. The two went public about their relationship in May 2024 but confirmed their breakup earlier this year.
Kalinskaya is a Russian tennis player who started playing at the age of 14. according to the U.K.'s Sun. She moved to the United States to go into tennis as a career, and Kalinskaya famously won her very first grand slam girls double title at the 2016 Australian Open with Tereza Mihalikova when she was just 17.
Two tennis players together seems like a match made in heaven, but this one was apparently not meant to be. Before dating Kalinskaya, Sinner was also reportedly dating Italian model Maria Braccini, so it wasn't his first love.
In an interview published in June by Vanity Fair Italia, Sinner talked about how having a professional tennis life and also having a relationship isn't something that's easy to balance. "I travel a lot and during tournaments, I'm very focused," he said. "But I think it's a beautiful thing when you find the right love."
So, right now, Sinner appears to be single, but he's very secretive about his love life. Earlier this year, when he was dating Kalinskaya, he was interviewed at the French Open and was asked about his relationship with her. At the time, he told Tennis.com, "Yes, I'm with Anna, but we keep everything very confidential. I won't say more." So, whether he's in, or out of, a relationship, he keeps things tight-lipped, which is smart, because he wants the focus to remain on his tennis game.
