Ash Barty wins Australian Open, ends 44-year drought
World No. 1 Ash Barty beat American Danielle Collins in the 2022 Australian Open women's singles final Saturday in Melbourne, becoming the first Australian to win the tennis tournament since Christine O'Neil in 1978.
