[Men's Tennis] Bearcats can't overcome Asbury University

Lexington, KY – The Brescia men's tennis fell to Asbury University (RV) 1-8 on Saturday afternoon. With the win, AU improves to 8-3 while Brescia drops to 3-5.

Asbury's first pairing of Aquille Trotman and Choopat Suvimolstean kicked off doubles with an 8-3 win over Daniel Paez Fernandez and Danila Pyzh. Felipe Penuela and Westin Jablonowski finished off the point by defeating Noah Ray and Emerson Durbin at No. 2, 8-1.

Brescia's lone point of the match came from Daniel Paez Fernandez at No.2. He edged Felipe Penuela in close two sets 7-6(5), 7-6(5). All other points Eagles claimed in straight sets. Joshua Turnquest picked up a 6-4, 7-5 at No.1 against Danila Pyzh, Luiz Gustavo Hartkopf provided the match-winner at No.3 6-1 6-1 against Noah Ray and Westin Jablonowski beat Emerson Durbin 6-0, 6-0 at No.4.

The Men's Tennis team will travel to Richmond, Indiana on April 6th to play against IU East.
