[Tennis] Tennis alum inducted into KTHF

0 34

Tennis is in the blood for Dr. Michael Eden, Georgetown College alum. It all started his freshman year at Elizabethtown High School and blossomed from there to a 'love' affair with his college sweetheart, Marsha, and spilling over to two daughters playing for the Tigers as well. Mike and Marsha are certified USTA officials and continue to spin forward the love for tennis in all they do.

Kentucky Tennis Hall of Fame took the opportunity this past weekend to honor Dr. Eden's dedication by inducting him with the 2019 class. Current GC coaches Jessica and Michael Cunningham, also GC tennis alum, had the pleasure of nominating and introducing Mike at the ceremony.

"It's been very exciting to work in this process and very deserving for Mike," Jessica said. "It's been an honor to coach both of his daughters. Shelby was a sophomore when Michael and I took over the program.

"Katie is now in her senior year. Both have been great for the Tiger program, and it is always amazing to have that Tiger pride run deep with both parents also being alum."
