Foggintor, by accident

Mrs Ape’s birthday. Out on Dartmoor early to have as much of a rare warm bank holiday as possible. A rock hopping ascent of Sharpitor, followed by conversations with sheep and the razorback of Leather Tor. And off to see the stone rows of Merrivale, when I look at the map and realise we’re a short walk north of Foggintor Quarry – a place we have never visited. So off we go for a short and shallow dip, before heading off to Brent Tor, wild beavers, Michelen starred food and languorous langering.
