A sparkling morning at last

0 3

Hello Friends,

If only we had swell. This morning saw a light SW breeze fanning a near-flat sea under partly cloudy skies. The MHL buoy data from 0600 was little changed from yesterday. It showed 1.1 metres of 12-second energy from the ESE. Those numbers should translate into something at optimally aligned locations, but, as you can see, Dee Why wasn’t on the list. The 24 °C water still has a brownish look, but Beachwatch is saying “Pollution Unlikely”. Tide’s currently coming in to a swampy 1.72 m high at 1000.

Wind should stay light, but swing more south as the day goes along and, despite the promising start to the day, the Bureau tells us we still have a 60% chance of a shower.

Looking at the surf week ahead, I’m pleased to direct you to the Goat’s latest cogitations here. His vintage whimsicality and wisdom should be bottled!

Go well one and all.
