The Goat’s Surf Forecast

0 3

Surf forecast issued Thursday 12 March 2026: Seven day outlook for Sydney

At least most of the day was sunny. It was warm enough at one stage for a couple of lost cicadas to sing their happy tune.. Dull and cloudy at dusk.

Surf’s up, but so was the wind today.

Two swells.. One from dead East, the other from dead South, with the East one bigger and stronger at 2.629 m and 12.93 seconds.

Wind was SSE at around 30-40kph.

The East swell is coming from the intense Low way out in the Tasman, but that’s slipping away pretty quickly and its surf influence is lessening. You just can’t tell those things what to do.

And by tomorrow the battle for dominance is likely to be won by the Southerly swell.

But it’s ascendancy is likely to be short lived and wane quickly in influence too.

(No, it’s not a Fortune Cookie interpretation of world events… just TG reading too much nonsense.)

Surf outlook

Friday: around 2 ish metres at places that are open to dead South swell..smaller elsewhere

Saturday: easing back into the 1-2 metre range at dead South spots

Sunday: down a little more ..say around 1-1+ metres dead South

Monday: up again slightly into the 1-2 metre range at dead South places

Tuesday: around 1-1+ metres dead South

Wednesday: same again

Thursday: Similarish.

Stay cool. Keep smiling.

TG.
