If you’re keen

Hello Friends,

In this morning’s bulletins, the Bureau tells us it’s going to be showery all day. When I grabbed the snaps this morning, the wind was to 13-21 kts from the SSW and there were a few sunny breaks. Swell at sea was 2 metres but coming from the SSW at only 5 seconds apart. There’s some south to SSE component though and that was delivering head high wave faces along the beach. But it’s mostly sliding by the point.

The wind’s going to come around to the south soon, and once that happens surf prospects will deteriorate. Tomorrow’s not looking too hopeful with the wind likely to be SE from the get-go and average periods predicted not to improve. But later in the week we might get lucky…

Go well!

Weather Situation

A weakening ridge of high pressure over the northern coast directs an east to northeasterly flow, while a slow moving trough sits over central parts of the coast. Winds over the southern and central coastal waters will continue fresh south to southeasterly during Sunday, before weakening and gradually turning east to northeasterly early next week as a high pressure system slips south and extends a ridge over the coastal waters early next week. Meanwhile, a low pressure system will deepen off the Gold Coast on Sunday, and drive a fresh southeasterly flow to the northern coast through early next week.
