Grey, glassy little waves this morning
Hello Friends,
Another morning with small but surfable conditions at Dee Why. Swell was 1.4 metres at 8 seconds, from the dead south. Wind was still WSW 6-9 kts at 0900 but it’s going to come around to the SE as the day develops. Tide hits a swampy 1.77 m at 1103.
Sets looked to be in the knee to waist high range, so definitely fun was to be had. It’ll be interesting to see the Goat’s take on our surf prospects for the next week. From this morning’s swell models, the average periods are set to drop into the gutless, slop range for a few days. So might be a plan to hit it today if you can.
Have a great Thursday everyone.
Weather Situation
A trough will weaken about the Mid North Coast today. Winds will turn northerly as a ridge of high pressure builds over the north coast from Friday and persist through the weekend, apart from a southerly wind change along the southern half of the coast as a weak trough moves through and decays during Saturday.
