Barely there
Hello Friends,
Glassy and very tiny at Dee Why before 0900 this morning. Swell has gone around to the SSE and the 0700 data from the MHL buoy showed height at a metre and a period of 11 seconds. So there should be the occasional waist-high set at the magnets but every where else is going to be tiny to unrideable. Water is sitting on 22 °C, so at least it’s perfect for a paddle to keep the arms in shape.
Prospects for the next week are not looking exciting. If I’m reading the portents correctly, it would seem we’re in for a week of summery smallness. Ah well, can’t be surprised I guess.
Have a top old Friday everyone.
Weather Situation
A high pressure system over the Tasman Sea extends a ridge over the northern part of the coast, bringing northeasterly winds, while a weak southerly change is moving along central parts of the coast. The ridge will maintain northeasterly winds along the northern part of the coast into the weekend, while winds will tend easterly along central and southern parts of the coast today and Saturday as an inland trough widens to the central and southern coasts. Winds will tend northeasterly again from Sunday as the trough moves east, while another southerly change will cross southern and central parts of the coast early next week.
