Not too interesting
Hello Friends,
There were scrappy, knee to waist-high bumps at Dee Why this morning thanks to a metre or so of 9-second SE swell. The ENE wind that arrived late yesterday morning blew all night and was 9-13 kts when I grabbed the daily pic for you. Tide was high at 0600 and will bottom out at 1255. Water is on 22 °C and clean.
Outlook is for similar conditions again tomorrow morning and probably Friday as well. The NE’r is forecast to go harder on Thursday, so Friday early may be a bit bigger.
As noted previously, there is a strong likelihood of 3+ metre, 10-sec SE-ESE energy hitting us from Saturday. This morning’s models are showing it staying around that size across next week. Unfortunately the wind is set to be onshore the whole time and the weather will be cloudy and intermittently rainy as well.
Have a great Wednesday everyone!
Weather Situation
A weak ridge lies over the New South Wales coast, maintaining an onshore east to northeasterly airstream. Winds will increase fresh to strong on Thursday, before a trough enters the south coast and develops into a low pressure system on Friday, bringing fresh to strong southeasterly winds in its wake.
