Hello Friends,
The pictures tell the story. It’s struggling to make the knee-high mark at most places along the beaches this morning. Optimal exposures were still seeing the very occasional waist-plus set, but the trend is gradually downward as we head into the first full week of 2026. The swell models are showing average periods in the 6-8 second range for the next 7 days. That’s likely to mean knee to waist high at the better spots, depending on the swell direction and height. Speaking of height, it looks as though it’ll generally bounce around the metre-mark until maybe Friday.
Go well everyone!
