Sunny, warm and micro
Hello Friends,
Up early for a bike ride this morning, so running a bit late on the reporting. Coming back through Manly and Dee Why, I can report that the picture above speaks the truth about conditions. It’s a beautiful early summer day, but there’s no surf to speak of and the MHL data from 0800 gives us little hope, showing as it did less than a metre of 8-second SSE energy Wind was northerly when we headed out at 0630, but 1000 it was beginning to swing to the NE and to pick up. By this evening it should be a good and proper summer afternoon 20-25 kt NE’r.
I’m hoping the Goat will be on deck later today with some sort of hopeful news because I’m not seeing much on this morning’s swell models. Maybe if the NE’r goes hard enough there’ll be a little something for early risers by this weekend…
Go well with your Thursday!
Weather Situation
A high pressure system lies over the Tasman Sea, extending a ridge over the state. Northerly winds strengthening by the weekend, with a brief weak southerly change expected along the south coast on Friday. Then, a cold front will cross the state during the weekend, bringing a fresh to strong southerly wind change over coastal waters in its wake.
