Really, really tiny
Hello Friends,
There were waves of a sort at the south magnets this morning. But, as the pictures show, the quality was so-so and the average size of waves was struggling to make the waist high mark. A day for getting other things done I’d say.
Tomorrow could be a better than today, particularly in the north corners. Swell period today is around 5-6 seconds, but the models show it briefly hitting twice that intensity tomorrow morning. And then, as the Goat indicated, it’s going to fade back into the marginal zone for a few days before perking up into the chest-plus range as we get to Thursday.
Go well with your Saturday everyone!
Weather Situation
A stalled trough about the Hunter is driving northerly winds to the north and east to southeasterly winds to the south of it. Winds are forecast to turn north to northwesterly ahead of a series of trough approaching the coast during Saturday and Sunday. On Monday a cold front moving up the coast will bring a southerly change, likely to reach the northern border during Monday afternoon. Behind this a high pressure ridge is forecast to lie over the coast mid week next week bringing clear conditions and light winds.
