Clean little waves for the early
Hello Friends,
There were some softish, but fun on a longboard type waves at the southern exposures this morning. Sets, as you can see from the pictures, were into the chest high range thanks to the metre-high, 9-second period mix of east and south energy. It was reasonably consistent as the tide was running out to the 0.66 m low at 1110. Wind was coming faintly from the SW at 0730, and according to the Bureau it should be light and variable this afternoon. Water’s on 20 C, so most of us are still in some form of rubber.
Outlook is for surfable but mostly small morning sessions right across the coming week. According to NSW nearshore wave tool, Tuesday is shaping to be the “big” day with potentially shoulder to head-high easterly energy.
All and all, not a terrible outlook – particularly for this time of year.

Weather Situation
A trough is to cross the coastal water this afternoon, commencing in the south driving a southerly wind change. By late Sunday or early Monday, fresh northerly winds are forecast over the waters ahead of a cold front. The winds then are expected to shift south as a gusty southerly change during Tuesday.
