Tiny and clean
Hello Friends,
Couldn’t see anyone in the water when I grabbed the snaps a little before 0800. Out at sea the swell was a metre at 11 seconds from 169 degrees. Wind was out of the NW at 5-6 kts under sunny skies. Tide was just coming off the 0.67 m low at 0750 and will be back to high at 1435. The winds should stay light this morning as the day warms up to 25 along the beaches (warmer inland). Water’s up to 19C.
From this morning’s swell models, it would appear that the generally small to near flat conditions are likely to last through the weekend – although you could see a little uptick around Thursday. The long range predictions are currently showing a slight improvement from early next week and – possibly – a kick up into the solid range late in the week.
Go well with your plans today!
Weather Situation
Northerly winds will strengthen on Monday and Tuesday as a cold front approaches from the west and a high pressure system moves away over the Tasman Sea. This front will bring a west to southwesterly change to southern and central waters later Tuesday and Wednesday, and then weaken over the northern coastal waters as a ridge of high pressure develops.
