Back to chilly and grey

0 8

Hello Friends,

Although the forecast is for southerly wind of 15-20 kts, as of 0900 it was still 9-15 kts from the SW. Swell’s dropped since yesterday, but at 0700 the MHL buoy was detecting 2.8 metres of 12-second energy from the east. So it’s still solid and, like yesterday, the waves at Dee Why are looking raw and lumpy. You’d want to be keen and fit to take these conditions on – and have no problem with the gloomy skies and 11 C air temps.

It looks as though the swell will still be around for tomorrow, but the weather is not going to be great and worse, the wind call is for SE.  As usual, I’m looking forward to what the Goat thinks of our chances for the coming week. Check back later for more on that front.

Also, I’m still in the middle of processing pictures and video from yesterday’s action at south Narrabeen. I’ll let you know when the pics are up on RealSurfPhotos.com.

Go well!

Weather Situation

A high pressure system in the Bight is directing south to southwesterly winds before a weak trough brushes the coast today bringing a fresh and gusty southerly change. Winds will turn south to southeasterly and tend fresh and gusty along the north coast from Friday as the high enters the Tasman Sea. A weak trough near the coast may develop over the weekend.
