Cold and tiny
Hello Friends,
There were showers off to the south of RealSurf HQ, but Dee Why was more sunny than not before 0830. Wind was out of the WNW at 6-8 kts and swell at sea was 1.3 metres from the south. Unfortunately average period was just 5 seconds, so there’s very little energy in the system. There were a few folks bobbing around in the 17-degree water just north of the surf club, but they were doing well to catch the knee-high bumps.
If you’re wondering about our surf prospects, I’m pleased to inform you that the Mighty Goat has rolled out a fresh forecast overnight. Check it out!
Go well everybody.
Weather Situation
A high pressure ridge extends across the central areas, maintaining a westerly airstream. A trough looks set to brush the coast today, bringing a southerly wind change. The winds then tend south to southwesterly along the northern coast and west to southwesterly along the southern coast during the weekend as the trough lingers along the northern coast.
