The Goat’s Surf Forecast
Surf forecast issued Thursday 10 July 2025: Seven day outlook for Sydney
When asked for the outlook for the week ahead, TG said: “PDF”.
This is a technical term he sometimes uses… which simply means Pretty Damn Flat.
Then, still trying to sound technically clever (which he’s not), he said: “There’s your problem right there”… like a mechanic who’s just found the reason your car isn’t going, is because there’s no petrol in the tank.
But he was pointing to the latest weather maps, whose isobars show that the westerly winds are likely to stay very SW over the East coast, which means that the main swell they produce will keep going out into the Tasman, and only small waves will come up to us from the South, and only affect places open to dead South.
But, being ever optimistic for the kids on school holidays, let’s say there might be something small from time to time for the right equipment and right levels of enthusiasm.
Alternative activities could include trying to convince your parents to take you to the snow, or to take you overseas to some place warmer.
That should exercise your minds and keep you busy.
Friday: perhaps maybe small waves about a metre or so from time to time at places open to due South
Saturday: ditto
Sunday: perhaps maybe ever so slightly more
Monday: if so, down again
Tuesday: same as before
Wedneday: and again
Thursday: and like, ditto.
Good luck!
Have Fun!
TG.

Down in the Sea
Water temp is around 19 near the beach.
Warmer current is near the horizon over over it, which is where the smart whales are, which is why you can’t see a lot of them
