Sunny, windy and flat

0 11

Hello Friends,

The NW wind was blowing 13-21 kts at 0800 and skies were mostly sunny. Out at sea there was an 0.8 metre, 9-second SSE swell but the wind wasn’t helping the cause. Dee Why looked like a lake and I doubt anywhere else along Sydney’s coastline will be noticeably better.

The Goat should be along later today with his thoughts about the coming week’s surf prospects. A quick glance at this morning’s swell models has me wondering what he’ll have to say about the weekend…

On another note, I’ve been working on a major overhaul of surf session photo galleries. There’s more to do, but if you’ve been waiting to see if I got any shots of your waves at Dee Why point or the southern end on 12 June or 4 July, why don’t you jump over for a look at my handiwork?

Go well with your Thursday!

Weather Situation

A strong cold front passes across the state today bringing a strong to gale-force west to southwesterly wind change in its wake. Winds will gradually ease later in the week through the weekend as a high pressure system drifts across the state.
