Near flat Tuesday morning
Hello Friends,
A mostly cloudy sky greeted the beaches this morning. Wind was coming faintly from the NW and out at sea the swell was 1.2 metres from the south at 7 seconds apart. That means knee to waist high at best for the most optimally aligned spots. Otherwise, it’s a millpond.
The models haven’t changed much overnight and are still projecting flat to near-flat until Friday when we could see an 8-second south pulse around the 1.5 m mark – along with stiff offshores.
Go well with your Tuesday everyone!
Weather Situation
A weak ridge of high pressure over the state is drifting north ahead ahead of a cold front that will cross the coastal waters between late Tuesday and early Wednesday, bringing fresh to strong west to northwesterly winds. This front will be followed by a stronger cold front late Thursday or early Friday, with strong to gale-force west to southwesterly wind change in its wake. Winds will gradually ease later in the week through Saturday as a new high pressure system drifts across the state.
