A bit smaller but waves to be had
Hello Friends,
As of 0630 the wind was coming from the WNW at 8-11 kts, skies were mostly cloudy, air temperature was 7 C and out at sea the swell was SE at 1.7 metres with a typical period of around 9 seconds. The water was 19 and first tide of the daylight hours is a modest 1.3 metre high at 1030.
Surf conditions were fairly smooth with sets at the better exposures getting into the shoulder-high range. It’s not as consistent as yesterday but with a bit of patience you should get a few if you choose your spot well.
Looking at the week to come, I am not hopeful it has to be said. The swell models show the swell dropping into the sub-1 metre range between Monday and Saturday. I’ll be checking it each day of course, but right now it’s looking like a rest week for surfers.
Go well!
