Clean, cold and tiny
Hello Friends,
As the Goat foretold in last Thursday’s forecast, the stiff offshores of yesterday will ramp up again today and that means the already declining swell has been blown flat at Dee Why this morning. Better south exposures should still be seeing the odd waist high set, but as the wind builds to the forecast 20-30 kt intensity, even those options will go away.
Tomorrow should see the arrival of a fresh south pulse – along with even stronger westerlies. Given the wind, I’d expect it to be very small to flat in the morning with maybe a little improvement late in the day. By Tuesday the swell should be into the 2-3 metre range, so even with more stiff westerly wind, there should be head-plus sets at the best exposures.
Enjoy your holiday Monday and catch you again tomorrow!
Weather Situation
A low pressure system off the south coast is generated windy conditions for coastal waters. This system expected to slowly dissipate as a high pressure ridge begins to influence the coast mid to late next week, extending out of a broad high pressure system in Central Australia.
