The Goat’s Surf Forecast

0 8

Surf forecast issued Thursday 5 June 2025: Seven day outlook for Sydney

Winter’s arrived!  Cold air, cold wind, means TG is complaining, even with the sun out. Says his fur coat is not coping. But no one is listening or taking any notice.

Especially not the whales who have finally started heading up the coast to warmer water round Hervey Bay.

Looks like the water off Sydney is slowly starting to get cooler..not that TG would know. He hasn’t put his hoof in it for a week or two. “Been busy” he says.

Here’s how he sees the Surf Outlook

Friday: easing back from today, in the 1-2 metre range at places that get dead South swell..smaller at places that don’t

Saturday: down a bit more but from South East so should get into some spots it wasn’t before

Sunday: It’s Wind versus Waves from here on..offshore wind will knock down the swell, say to around 1 metre or so, give or take South East

Monday: ditto or less

Tuesday: ditto

Wednesday: ditto

Thursday: and ditto

Stay warm. The wind chill on the water will tighten tired muscles, especially those of the less fit and older variety.

TG.
